ABOUT
So how exactly did this site come about?
In 2004 George “Ouzo” Ouzounidis & “Kosta X” Housiadas randomly met in a nightclub.
George always envisioned becoming more involved in the Greek scene by bringing people together. Kosta, an established DJ, had a similar vision through music.
Influenced by other established Greek communities in America, George & Kosta wanted to unify the growing Greek Population of the Carolinas.
Their individual talents would later lead them to combine their skills and launch CarolinaGreeks.com on March 25, 2008 (Greek Independence Day).
Since the start of the Charlotte, NC-based website, CarolinaGreeks.com has promoted and hosted several events including Greek nights, dances, festivals, conventions, concerts, social gatherings, and religious functions.
They have expanded Hellenism within the Carolinas by working with many talented organizations & artists, both locally and nationally, from places as far as New York, Chicago, DC, Hartford, Boston, Detroit, Tampa, Miami, Atlanta and San Francisco.
The amazing response so far motivates them, as they strive to leave a positive impression on visitors within and outside the region.
Welcome to the Carolinas!
